ELON MUSK'S TURNING POINT

The rebranding had been in the air for some time, and now it's certain: Twitter says goodbye to its name and becomes "X." Over the weekend, Elon Musk announced via the social platform itself that we would soon be saying farewell to the Twitter brand. Then, in true Musk style, he tweeted again, saying that the change was imminent. Shortly afterward, the arrival of the new "X" logo, which became the official one.

In addition to the name, it's also goodbye to the iconic little bird that has distinguished the company for years, now removed even from the badges assigned to employees. From today, the X will take center stage and represent the company.
A major change—one of many since Elon Musk took over the famous platform—but certainly the most important so far.

X, the new everything app

Twitter, or rather, X, will become an everything app that goes far beyond the classic tweets we've been using for years. Confirmations in this regard also come from Linda Yaccarino, CEO of X Corp., the company that owns X.
Among the new features, the platform is expected to integrate video calls as well. However, artificial intelligence takes center stage: by working closely with another newly founded Elon Musk company, xAI, the now former Twitter will integrate this innovation.

In one of the CEO's tweets (can we still call them tweets?), "payments/banking" are also mentioned, with the idea of "creating a global marketplace for ideas, goods, services and opportunities."
This brings us back to our industry: knowing Elon Musk's passion for cryptocurrencies, with Dogecoin and Bitcoin leading the way, who knows if X is preparing some pleasant surprise.
In short, major changes that further deepen the clear divide from the old Twitter, the one from the pre-Musk era.

The X: an obsession of Elon Musk?

Final curiosity about the choice of the name X. We don't know if there's a specific explanation behind the new name. However, we are certain that Musk has a special connection with this letter. In Elon’s major ventures, X is always present: SpaceX, xAI, the Tesla Model X, X Corp., and now the latest addition, X.

What does this letter mean to Musk? Is it just a matter of superstition? Or is there something more? We’ll probably never know for sure.
But one thing is certain: X has now become a trademark of Elon Musk. And it wouldn’t surprise us if X also soon became a global success.
