How to Close Your Aurea Account

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to be forgotten — meaning you can request the deletion of your Aurea account and all associated personal data.

Personal data includes any information that identifies you directly or indirectly, such as your name, email, wallet address, or transaction history.

Before submitting your request, please read the steps and important conditions below.

🧾 What Happens When You Delete Your Account?

When you request account deletion:

  • All your personal data will be permanently erased

  • You will lose access to your account and cannot recover it

  • The process is irreversible

✅ What to Do Before Submitting the Request

Before we can process your deletion request, make sure to:

  • Withdraw any remaining funds

  • Complete all pending transactions, including crypto transfers and card payments

  • Ensure your account has a zero balance

⚠️ Requests cannot be processed if there are active funds on your account

Also, please avoid receiving new funds after your request has been submitted, as this may delay or block the process.

🕒 How Long Does It Take?

Once your request is received and your account is cleared of funds, our team will process it within 30 days.
We’ll notify you when the deletion is complete.

⚖️ Legal Limitations

While we will delete your account and personal data wherever possible, some information may need to be retained by our verification partners (e.g., Wirex, Transak, or Sumsub) due to legal obligations under anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorism financing (CTF) regulations.

This is standard practice for all financial and crypto-related services.
