My Account Was Compromised — What Should I Do?

If you believe your Aurea account has been compromised, it’s essential to act immediately to protect your funds, data, and identity.

Here’s what you should do, step by step:

🧾 Step 1: Review Your Account Activity

Check your transaction history for any suspicious or unauthorized activity.
If you notice anything unusual — such as unknown logins, transfers, or changes to your profile — take note and report it immediately.

📩 Step 2: Contact Customer Support

Email help.aureahub@gmail.com right away with the subject “Urgent: Account Compromised”.
Include a brief description of the suspicious activity and any affected transactions. Our team will:

  • Temporarily lock your account if needed

  • Escalate the case to our security and compliance partners

  • Guide you through the recovery and investigation process

🔐 Step 3: Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

If you haven't already, activate 2FA to make your account more secure.
This adds an extra layer of protection by requiring a code sent to your phone, in addition to your password.

To enable 2FA:

  • Go to Profile → Security Settings in the Aurea app

  • Select “Enable Two-Factor Authentication”

  • Follow the on-screen steps using an authenticator app or SMS

🛡️ Remember: Your Security Comes First

If your account has been compromised, taking action quickly can limit potential damage.
Aurea works closely with trusted partners (such as Sumsub, Wirex, and Transak) to monitor account activity and prevent fraud.

If you need help at any stage, don’t hesitate to contact us: help.aureahub@gmail.com

We’ll support you through every step of the recovery process.
